WebHostingPad vs. PowWeb

WebHostingPad vs. PowWeb

At the turn of the 21st century a web hosting company set itself apart from the rest by offering more than just a few servers in a basement. Small to medium sized businesses, and even a few personal websites, looked for a web host with outstanding technology that offered the fastest speeds, along with customer service that was easy to get along with since the technology was improving so fast nobody knew how to run it. Price was important, but less important than getting the best quality product.

Nowadays, however, it is imperative that a web hosting company still carry the best technology and customer service, but they must offer the lowest price. In addition to low prices, savvy webmasters desire the most storage space as possible (video and media files are heavy).

WebHostingPad and PowWeb both have just that in mind with their plan offerings. PowWeb has a strategic marketing catchphrase that says it all: “One Plan – One Price”. WebHostingPad states: “Hassle-Free Web Hosting.” Any way it is read, the translation is fabulous plans with lots of “unlimited” features all at a single, low price.

Pricing

The WebHostingPad plan is listed at a regular $3.95 per month, but their promotional price (for the last year at least) has been only $1.99 per month. Of course, you must buy 5 years in advance to take advantage of that rock-bottom price, but even their 2-year plan is only $2.95.

PowWeb is $3.88 whether you buy 1 or 2 years up front. One plan, one price.

Products and Services

Both companies offer a staggering deal on extra bonus features and services. Both provide lots of credits to use toward social media and search engine marketing.

WebHostingPad offers web design services, free site builder, and cPanel control panel, the tops in the industry. Their plan comes with a 99.9% uptime guarantee and a 30-day money back guarantee.

PowWeb also offers also offers a free site builder, and extra paid services such as SEO and marketing services, extra security, e-commerce services, and web site management services. And PowWeb also offers a 30-day money back guarantee and 99.9% infrastructure availability.

Web Hosting Features

Web hosting clients get all they could ever want in a shared hosting plan. Both companies offer unlimited disk space, bandwidth, and email accounts. WebHostingPad also offers additional unlimited features such as My SQL databases, and email autoresponders.

Both offer lots of scripting support and e-commerce features, as well as FrontPage extensions. And with WebHostingPad you can be sure you’ll get multimedia support and a world class data center with a 99.9% uptime guarantee.

Customer Service

WebHostingPad is completely available 24 hours a day via telephone or live chat. They also offer Skype as a contact method.

PowWeb also offers telephone and live chat support. But the company is suspiciously mum on what hours their live service operates.

Both offer an extensive online help center for their customers.

Recommendations

With an outstanding 24 hour support (with Skype included), as well as a superior control panel for their clients and a price that can’t be beat, WebHostingPad gets our recommendation.
