HostGator, a global leading provider of shared, dedicated and reseller web hosting solutions, recently entered a partnership agreement with iContact, an industry leading firm that specializes in email marketing services designed for small to medium sized businesses. Per the agreement, HostGator will leverage iContact’s expertise to offer the company’s award-winning email marketing services to its own customers.

According to an August announcement, Chad Bean, Chief Marketing Officer at HostGator, made the decision to form a partnership with an outside email marketing company based on the input received from a number of existing customers. He remarked that HostGator customers are always exploring new ways to reach their clients without needing to configure and maintain complex software or being concerned about maintaining tedious mailing lists. According to Bean, the partnership with iContact will allow them to concentrate solely on establishing a list of subscribers and providing them with valuable content rather than dealing with all the complicated aspects.

The folks at iContact are also pretty excited about the agreement and the opportunity to work with a renowned web hosting provider such as HostGator. Ryan Allis, company CEO, stated that the partnership will inevitably provide valuable services for the customers of both firms. He noted that iContact and HostGator have a reputation for delivering reliable solutions and the combined expertise and focus on SMBs speaks highly of the harmonic “synergy” between the two companies.

Synergy could be a vast understatement as these two certainly have a lot of company. In fact, HostGator CEO Bent Oxley and iContact CEO Ryan Allis both began their respective journeys from very humble beginnings, establishing their successful companies from a college dorm room.

August was quite a busy month for HostGator. Aside from striking a deal with iContact, it also formed a partnership with RankSense SEO, an agreement that allows it to offers its customer base of over two million websites a powerful software suite containing more than a dozen fully integrated SEO tools.
