The first time when I saw Awardspace.com it did not say anything about having to put banners, or forums posting, or any other forced type of advertisement that you have to comply with in order to get the free hosting. Like probably most of us I said to my self if it is too good to be true then it is too good to be true. Well I was wrong! Not only that there were no requirements to get the free hosting and no banners, adds or whatsoever, but the features I got were plenty, the uptime was rock solid and the support were friendly and prompt in their replies. Right now of course I am on a pro account because there are some restricted features on the free account. The other thing that made a good impression to me was that they have PHP 4 5 and 6 which is quite an advantage for me. It also supports perl and MySQL so it has it all. Well it is simply great for me!!! So at the end it turns out that it is too good and it is true.
I have an account with Awardspace to host an e-commerce website. I am extremely disappointed with thier service. Despite upgrading my hosting package the site is very slow and there is constant ‘down time’. I regularly get emails from customers telling the site is offline. I regularly go to the site myself and it is offline.
I am looking for an alternative host and will be cancelling my account asap!

Wheather you are free user or paid it will give you the best service to you. Though for free users, uptime for database is not considered to be quite good, what I mean is if lots of users are connecting to the database of yours site then too many connection error may occur. Overall its quite good.
The most I like awardspace is because the reliability. For I have tried many free and charge hosts, but almost they down for a couple of months. and there are free hosts all around the world with giant space, but they are never stable for use. And the control panel is not clear and easy for me.
Additional, I like awardspace because there is no forced ads, though space is only 200M, that’s enough for a blog then.

You might wonder why the exclamation, just take time to listen to my story.
On December 4 2008, I stumbled across awardspace via a hosting review site online and was at first pessimistic at what I saw.
I decided to give it a look the next day and then I saw that FREE HOSTING without ads or forced obligations were possible with AWARDSPACE, although I had not tested it.
Unfortunately, my laptop crashed few days later and I lost the history and bookmarked pages as I did not store the web-address off-heart. I searched and searched through google for free hosting sites to test my domain name and my web skills but all to no avail. There was always one limitation or the other. I got frustrated and gave up only to come across it again by a stroke of luck through another hosting review site where I wanted to get FREE COUPON CODES for hosting at namecheap.com.
Presently, I use a totally free web analysis tool and its owner was given an award as an Internet Hero for making it available for FREE (www.statcounter.com). I poured kudos on its owner as I’ve never seen such before.
But u know what! AWARDSPACE is another of its kind. It beats statcounter and it is totally FREE with no obligations for its Easy Starter Pack.
One advice I would give to awardspace.com is to invest money in boosting their SEO Rankings especially on google. If that was done, I wouldn’t have experienced problems finding your site as I even moved to the 1000th page of FREE HOSTING SITES on google.(What a stress) I guess so many people are looking for such an opportunity.
I intend to upgrade my subscription as soon as I get some money for that…in order to get all the facilities given to paid subscribers.

I registered the domain name of this site on March, 2, the same day I placed it on the servers of Awardsplace. Though it stated that the site would be available in 24-72 hours, it was a pleasant surprise when I could operate it the same day in the evening. And my further impressions of Awardspace are pleasant and positive also. So, I gave the highest points. Reliability gets “5″ – I still have not had problems with my site operating, I (and other people) can freely access it any time, besides, I can upload my files on the server even using a dial-up connection, very slow and unstable. In addition, the server is UNIX-based, which I consider is the most suitable for network activity. Then, Price Value also gets “5″ – I placed my site on Awardspace server, using a free-of-charge plan: I just saw that it offered much more opportunities than I really needed and could work with them, because I am not an experienced web-designer. Then, Control Panel gets “5″ – for it is really suitable for me and my not-so-good web-designing skills, with many comfortable functions. Though, in fact, i prefer upload files with TotalCommander FTP-client – I used to work with this program for years, and this habbit is not so easy to give up. At last, customer support gets “5″ because I did not have any problem to ask for help. Any questions I had – not so many, as a matter of fact – were resolved when I read FAQs. Perhaps, the best customer support – it is when everything is simple enough for not having questions at all. Finally, overall rating is “5″. i guess, that when my project will be serious enough, I will think about changing my hosting plan to more advanced one. But now i am still satisfied with free service.

I found the Hosting GREAT since I have my old hosting to be compared from which claimed to be the best but since I joined awardspace, I find awardspace performance is to be precisely award winning, they have great work but I only have one request that my monthly traffic bandwidth is not much in awardspace but before I use to had an unlimited bandwidth at no cost, kindly do something for it.
Also awardspace’s free service is better than other free services. The speed is really good for a free service.
