ePowHost is a relative newcomer to the web hosting community, and we’re always skeptical of those web hosting companies that are fresh to the market. At the same time, we are delighted to see a company bring something new and exciting to the often stale world of web hosting. ePowHost seems to have done just that, with their all inclusive hosting package. They have gone above and beyond to see that their packages are accessible to a variety of potential customers, a fact that sets them above much of the competition. There is a tendency in the web hosting community to focus on either the individual user or the business user. ePowHost has sought to eliminate that line in the sand, and serve the needs of both, with equal attention to each set of possible users.

Reliability (5/5)
ePpowHost has met the challenge of providing reliable web hosting services in the new millennium, and it is immediately obvious they take this burden rather seriously. Clients will be pleased to note the extra measures of security they provide, both in terms of their technological Internet-based security functions, and physical security at the place of initiation. All of this comes together to assure the customer will experience as little downtime as possible, which can mean the difference between a successful website and an unsuccessful one.
Price Value (5/5)
We were highly impressed with the price value that ePowHost offers its customers. They provide multiple plans, with the least expensive starting at only a little under seven dollars a month. Are there cheaper web hosting solutions out there? Sure, but we’re not sure you would want to trust your business or website to them. With the cheapest hosting plan, they offer unlimited of bandwidth and unlimited of disk space, which is more than we would have expected. There are plenty of web hosting companies that don’t give their customers a lot of features for their web hosting dollar. ePowHost does, and that makes a lot of difference in our eyes.
Control Panel (5/5)
ePowHost has foregone the move of creating a custom control panel in favor using the popular and ever reliable cPanel. To us, that’s often the best way to go.
Customer Support (3/5)
This is where we came across our biggest (only?) disappointment with ePowHost Web Hosting. Though they provide a fine bit of customer service through their website, they fail to provide telephone or live chat support. This is not acceptable in this day and age, and too many of their competitors are doing this for them to feel it unnecessary. We hope in the future this will change, but for now we can’t give our highest marks to their customer service.
Overall Value (4/5)
When it comes to reliability, a quality control panel, and value for your dollar, ePowHost offers a powerful combination that’s hard to beat. If they would improve their customer service capabilities, we would soon see them shoot to the top of our web hosting providers list. As it stands now, they still make a lot of sense for the up and coming webmaster.

I prefer new hosting companies to ones that have had several customers. When hosting companies are new, they tend to offer high quality services at competitive prices. Also with fewer customers you can expect a fast response time on their customer support. I just hope they will continue to provide their excellent services.
If you plan to do anything serious about your website, I would not recommend this vendor.
Pro: low cost, good PAST performance
Con: performance, customer service suddenly deteriorated in the last several month
I was fairly happy with their service until recently when suddenly all hell break loose: they changed DNS servers without notifying me, then I realized some files in my account are lost.
They do NOT have a phone or chat line where you can talk to a real person. And they have yet to respond to my repeated requests since I first reported the problem 3 days ago.
Now that I am looking for a project and needed to show a client my work, I have to rebuild it from scratch (by the way, they deleted my DB tables as well). Now I am stuck.
Go figure.
Just to follow up with my last complaint: I asked what their refund policy is. At first, I got a reply saying “tell me your complaint and give us another chance”. After I told them of my issue, I have not heard from them again. Not even whether or how they will refund. Two days later, I asked again, this time, no one bothered to reply.
