I think their service are very affordable and they have been offering good services for a long time now and have built a good reputation. It is really important to have a hosting company that has been around for a while and has been know for providing high quality and affordable services. I would always recommend Lunar Pages
Lunar Pages does have a high service uptime and I have used their customer service a couple of time and the response time was alway fast and helpful. Their services are cheap and I like the fact that they offer unlimited sql databases
I did not know Lunar Pages was around for that long. I only recently found out about them and have been hosting my site with them for a few months now. I totally agree that their services are highly reliable. A little under five dollars a month is such a good price for such a reliable service.

lunarpage does support on silverlight and real media and that is the best part of them. You cannot find cheap host that can offer you a much like this. 5/5 from me.

I have been using Lunarpages for a while now. I run multiple websites online and decided to give them a shot. I have been very pleased with their service. I haven’t experienced any downtime that I am aware of and no clients have complained about speed. I’ve seen other companies that could perhaps beat them in the price department, but if you are serious about your websites, Lunarpages is a great place to host them for pennies more. You will be glad you went with them instead of a very small company that might not last more than a few months.
Lunarpages has been great for me! I only had one time where I couldn’t visit the site for a few minutes. I’m not absolutely sure that it was even on their end and not just my connection, but outside of that, the last month has been a great experience. You can’t beat their prices!

Lunar does a great job for me. The only concern for me is the long period of contract but I have no problem with them for 2 years I have hosted my sites with them

It is not very often that we try any new hosting company. Most of the times we just go with the lowest priced one as our clients only have websites with meagre traffic and as such we can go with whatever is available but sometimes we just change track and then something like lunarpages comes to mind as they have good prices and have good customer support.
I have used Lunarpages.com hosting in the past and have always been satisfied with their service and their price value ratio. I would have stayed with them normally but I decided to get a dedicated server.
Pretty satisfied with this people. I have used them in the past and wanted to stick with something more local. I would recommend anyone to these guys and they have been very good to a number of people including myself.
The Pathetic Lunarpages !!!
This is from my practical experience:
Background:
1. I have chosen Windows hosting from Lunarpages, I have hosted 3 websites in a shared hosting.
2. Among the three, 1 site is alexa 100K website, 2nd is an asp website which is under development, 3rd is a simple HTML site.
The “tortoise” support:
– Lunarpages doesnt provide a Chat support for any urgent issues!! Imagine if your site has gone down and you are losing 100$ because of that and you wanted to contact the support! Major hosting providers give Chat support so that the issues can be resolved immediately. But you must raise a ticket in lunarpages which will be responded within 24 hrs during business days !!!
Scenario 1:
Ok.. Some of you will feel that a support within 24 hrs is quite fine. But you know what happened to me in most of the cases when my site was down? – The customercare responded after 24 hrs asking me to provide the verification details :-/
Then I gave the details immediately but the customer care responded after 20 hrs asking for more information!!! and my site was still DOWN !!! They really dont seem to understand the criticality!
Scenario 2:
Once they have suspended my site and I received an automated mail that I must contact support to know why they have suspended it. I contacted them, BUT I KNOW THEY WILL ASK FOR VERIFICATION DETAILS and I proactively gave all the information in my ticket itself!!, but Surprisingly, I got the standard mail asking me to provide the verification details!!! I really got pissed off and replied back, which took one more 24 hrs. Then they replied back saying that there are a lot of visitors coming to my website and is affecting their server! But I have not exceeded the disk space, bandwidth,or whatsoever mentioned in the plan during the signup!!
They asked me to take a VPS or Dedicated hosting.
Then I had few arguments and finally agreed to take a VPS hosting and sent a mail to the customer care, but 3 days later they have suspended the site again saying that the account usage is more. I really doubt if the customer care reads the mails properly!!
I have lost a lot of money due to this!!
I have some sites that I am developing and planning on purchasing a hosting plan through this company. I know quite a few people who have recommended them highly as having excellent service and perfect uptime. I have never heard a negative comment until I read the post above mine.
If you are planning to purchase a linux hosting then I would recommend Bluehost.
If you want a windows shared hosting/vps, I would still recommend lunarpages because it is cheap. I have not found a good host for windows till now. There are issues but still there is no alternate option
However, hostgator’s windows dedicated plan is the cheapest !!! I dont know the performance of hostgator.
I’ve hosted twice with Lunarpages and I think their service has been generally good. The only problem I’ve had with them while using their service was their customer support. Apart from that I would recommend them to anyone. I no longer use their service because I sold both the sites I hosted with them.

What is there not to love about LunarPages.com Web Hosting. I have tried dozens of different hosting companies over the years but my all time favorite hosting company has been Lunar Pages. They offer great hosting packages for low prices and I have yet to experience any downtime.
I found this to be a good hosting company, but when things went wrong, well, I had a hard time getting through to customer support. They got popular, and it got difficult to get a hold of just about anyone in the company. Hopefully they’ve improved on that in the last year or so, bad customer service drives me the Hell away.
I don’t know why some people slag off the customer service of this company. I did get held up a few times when I had a problem, but I usually got a response within a few hours. Then again, I’ve only used them for eight months, so yes, they have improved their customer service recently.
Quite impressive for me. I have been with Lunarpages for over 2 years and always satsfied for the services. Sometime delay in email support but overall still great. I wonder how they keep price that low.
DDOS protection my ass. You heard me right, “DDOS protection my ass”. My site went down from a DDOS attack, and I told them about their uptime guarantee, and they told me that it doesn’t apply to DDOS attacks.
I bet $20 they tell everyone who calls them about their guarantee gets the “We don’t cover DDOS attacks”. I remember the days when a promise was taken at its word without fine print.
I’ve used the phrase “It’s popular, now it sucks” quite often in my life. I like hosting with this company, but they really need to get more people on the customer service. If they put out an oath like Fatcow, they would be bankrupt by Christmas.
The only two things which I do not like with Lunarpages is their really slow support service and their price. For offering such a slow support the price is to high in my opinion. Still a great host and if they solve the support problem: one I would tell the people about.

With the amount of money I pay them, you would think that more people would be on-hand when I have to make the call. I do get good customer service, but it simply takes too long to get anyone on the phone.
I thought about moving to lunarpages, but after reading these reviews I am not sure if this will be a good decision.
It seems that they have trouble with customer support and are not able to change that situation over a long time.

Lunarpages price is cheap but you have to pay them yearly to get that rate. I have 35 wordpress blog and 10 joomla sites with them. None of them has any problem. a bit lack in support is a thing I concern. Late reply in email. I have to waited 4 days before got any reply. The answer was helpful but came out too late.

Price Value – Good but have to paid yearly advance. Pretty common for many hosting company these days.
Control Panel – Nothing special
Customer Support – They are on time but lack of knowledge. They took many hours before figured out the solution of my custom script.
