I love the fact that they decided to go green and use totally renewable energy. That is very commendable. I think the prices for their hosting packages is a little bit too expensive. A lot of other hosting companies are offering lower rates with very reliable services.

I didn’t know hosting sites are now looking at going green, that’s a great idea and their package price is a lot cheaper than other hosting sites. In my own opinion, 100% up time for hosting sites that generates its own electricity is more reliable.

Thinkhost have always been the host I have used so I don’t have much to compare them by. All I do know is a lot of my friend’s moan about there hosting a lot and I have never had any problems with mine!
For that reason I say give them a go…
Yes, they have a great idea, but I believe they’ve over-reached and taken on more than they can support. My WordPress blog and other PHP pages go down on a regular basis (generating an Internal Server Error). The tech support people do (usually) respond within a few hours and announce that they’ve rebooted the server and the scripts are working now. I can see this happening on a rare occasion, but this happens at least a couple weekends a month–and those are just the times that I catch it. If you only have HTML pages, they’re probably fine. If you have a blog or PHP scripts, look elsewhere.

Thinkhost’s prices are competitive in the market, but they surpass others when it comes to their quality of service. Web hosting companies are a dime a dozen these days, but good ones are few and far between. Moving to them from another company was easy and they helped me all along the way. I would recommend them!
Thinkhost comes with everything I need for my website. They are fast, reliable, and have good support. Isn’t that what makes a good web host afterall? Pricing is good for what you get. Their customer support is really a head and shoulders above any other web hosting company I have been with before.
started using this service a while ag still looking for its pros and cons but till now its working fine and think its features are great and will really give me satisfaction as i spend time and money on them.Have some forums and sites hosted with them and getting good support from their team ,still much left to conclude ..
good customer support i am getting from them,using this service since 6 months yet faced not a single problem.I was wondering it should have been placed are the 4th or 5th place of your top ten list but still it offers quality services and server is working great for me..overall rating it as 4.

STAY AWAY FROM THINKHOST!!!!! THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF!!!!
Boy, how I wish I had read some of the reviews for Thinkhost out there before being ripped off… I also wanted a socially responsible company to host my sites and found Thinkhost. I signed up for an account, even though I thought it was weird to have an automatic script following and pestering me with coupons and offers right from the first visit to their web site. So, anyway, I signed up for an account and quickly realized it was not a good company when their admin panel turned out to be so unfriendly. I couldn’t even set up a database without submitting a ticket for tech support!
I immediately requested a cancellation and they never sent me an email acknowledging the cancellation or anything to the email address I had posted as my email address. I realized they never canceled and refunded charges after a month, when I got my credit card statement, and when I contacted them they claimed they would not refund charges because they sent me an email in their “internal email system” with the cancellation form I needed to fill out!!! Of course, this is an email I would never get unless I went looking for it somewhere in the hostingoperations.com support site… I guess that is just one of their dirty tricks. I am still fighting this issue with my credit card.
Now that I think about it, Thinkhost is probably not even solar powered, it must be a couple resellers with $$$ in their eyes, trying to rip people off and doing everything they can to avoid dealing with their customers, and not a solid company trying to build its reputation and customer service. Their tech support email address is no-reply@thinkhost.com, so you know what that means…
I learned my lesson: NEVER TRUST A COMPANY THAT DOES NOT HAVE A PHONE NUMBER ON THEIR SITE. Of course, now I can see that I am not the only one being ripped off, so check other people’s reviews and stay away from them. I have dealt with many web hosts over the years, but THINKHOST IS THE WORST EVER!!!
