Obviously Yahoo Rated themselves. This definitely didn’t come from a user. “…premiere choice for new clients starting out with their first website….” Is that something you would write?
Until today, we hosted 15 sites with Yahoo. Out of nowhere Yahoo’s Abuse department decided to down one of our sites for TOS violation. We had done nothing and we alone manage the site. Hack? Yahoo support has no phone access to the Abuse department. You can either email or fill out a form on the abuse site. 24 hours later the reply to my email said the ‘TOS was violated – that’s why we took down your site’. No kidding. No reason how or why. So I filled out the form. There is a field in the form which is labeled “Who are you reporting?”. I wasn’t reporting anyone – just my problem – but, after trying 3 times, I was not able to submit the form without filling in that field. I didn’t want to put anyone else’s Yahoo ID in so – unfortunately – I put in mine. Now all sites associated with that Yahoo ID are down. No email. No site. Nothing. We may not even be able to retrieve our files. It is very scary to realize that anyone can enter any ID and down multiple businesses. Goodbye Yahoo.
Nope, you couldn’t pay me to write a good review if you’re company is crap. I’d say “It’s worth a try, just for the experience.”.
Companies that abuse their powers and don’t explain what rule in the 2398 page TOS bible simply don’t deserve my business. Mine was pulled for copyright infringement once, even though the only thing hosted was music that -I- had composed. Heaven Forbid that an average joe is good on a keyboard!

Yahoo should just stick with being a Google competitor than trying to do every service. It is decent, but a specialist is much better than a jack of all trades every time.
Nothing but disappointment, more disappointment, another dose of disappointment, and leftover disappointment. I would’ve expected far better from such a wealthy company, especially in their hardware quality!
Having a worldwide known brand name is not all. Or should I say, you have to prove that you are good in business. That your company is a company the users can count on and that the services you offer are really worth the price they pay for it.
I started with them and I was surprised how good they worked for me and my small business site. But I think there are cheaper companies around to host my site and the customer support is sometimes freaking me up with their answers.
