InMotion VS eBoundHost

InMotion VS eBoundHost

Web hosting companies that have managed to stay in business since the earlier days of conception are hard to find. Two companies that have not only survived but flourished are eBoundHost and InMotion. Both companies give their customers the very best in services and support and for these reasons both web hosting companies will be around in the future.

A value class account with InMotion costs a mere $3.00 a month but is a bit limited in extras or standard account features. For a dollar more a month, web hosting clients receive a nice assortment of design features, blogging software and website plugins to choose from.

For about the same monthly amount ($3.95 a month), eBoundHost delivers unlimited quantities of storage and transfers, a free domain name and offers all its customers a 90 day money back guarantee – with no questions asked.

Products and Services

eBoundHost not only offers web hosting but also has extended its service offerings to include VPS (Virtual Private Server) hosting, dedicated hosting and an affiliate program. VPS hosting starts as low as $25.99 a month and dedicated hosting is available at $99 a month. The eBoundHost affiliate program pays its affiliates for new hosting customers and any new customers who opt for VPS or dedicated server hosting.

InMotion also offers dedicated and VPS hosting. Its VPS accounts start at $39.95 a month, dedicated hosting accounts start at $199.95 a month. While not offering an affiliate program, InMotion does offer a service that not many other web hosting companies do – web site management. For $79.95 a month (a 12 month contract is required), customers can hire their own professional team to not only build their web site but help manage it – a great service for those who may be new to web hosting.

Web Hosting Features

All eBoundHost hosting accounts come with unlimited amounts of bandwidth, space, email accounts and websites allowed per account. Customers can choose from WordPress, phpBB2, osCommerce and other offered scripts to enhance their web sites. Each web site is freely submitted to search engines and includes an SEO consultation. Add in PHP 4/5, Ruby on Rails and Python for scripting needs and eBoundHost offers a great web hosting package for a nice low price.

InMotion doesn’t offer unlimited bandwidth and web space but gives its customers more than what most online businesses require. The basic hosting account includes a standard web site builder, cPanel control panel access, a MySQL database and several blogging and web site plugins to choose from. All hosting accounts are Dreamweaver and Adobe Go Live compatible and come with the option to install FrontPage extensions.

Customer Service

eBoundHost’s help center offers customers quick access to an extensive FAQ section, online manuals and quick email access to their support team.

The support center at InMotion is where customers can find tutorials, user guides, a support forum and a knowledge base. Customers will also find quick access to server status information, the toll-free number to call for support and a live support chat option for those needing help on the spot.

Both companies offer great deals for the money. However, if you need unrestricted bandwidth and space, the choice should be eBoundHost. If support is a major concern, InMotion’s support center is more extensive making this web hosting company the better choice.
